Kith Re-Issues Denim Sneaker with Two All-American Brands

It was a match made in modern consumer heaven in 2017, and now it’s coming back.

Kith, in partnership with Coca-Cola and Converse Chuck Taylor, is releasing a capsule collection that features a denim shoe that was only available to Friends and Family two years ago.

The multi-branded hi-top, which Kith founder Ronnie Fieg teased on his Instagram last week, boldly features the classic Coca-Cola logo in white embroidery on the sides and frayed edges. With a light denim construction and streetwear influences, the shoe points to a trend of incorporating denim south of the ankle. Just days ago, Nike unveiled a new version of its Air Force 1 Low with interchangeable denim Swooshes.

In addition to footwear, the Kith x Coca-Cola capsule features Coca-Cola branded apparel, including a patchwork polo tee and a sweatshirt available in orange, aqua blue, classic red, salmon, yellow and white.

This collaboration comes as no surprise to those following Kith’s show at last year’s New York Fashion Week, in which the streetwear brand teased a number of upcoming collaborations with Levi’s, New Balance, Ugg, Bergdorf Goodman and others. Kith’s show was separated into four sets: Kith x Collaborations, Kith x Tommy Hilfiger, Kith x Greg Lauren and Kith x Versace.

The new collection releases on Aug. 2 at the Kith pop-up shop in Honolulu and will be available at other locations the following week.
