Levi’s and Justin Timberlake Unveil Second ‘Fresh Leaves’ Collection

The city of Memphis served as the muse for Levi’s and Justin Timberlake’s latest duet.

The Memphis-native teamed with the Levi’s for a second “Fresh Leaves” collaboration of men’s jeans, tops and denim jackets inspired by the city that introduced the iconic sound and style of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Otis Redding and Isaac Hayes.

Timberlake and Levi’s launched their first collaboration last fall, following a merchandise partnership for the artist’s album, Man of the Woods.

“Memphis and music have always been a big part of me,” Timberlake said in a statement. “And it became a huge part of this collection, just going back to the places and things I loved here as a kid.”

The Spring/Summer ’19 “Fresh Leaves” collection offers classic Levi’s pieces with nods to Memphis landmarks, mixed with a range of modern looks that speak to Timberlake’s signature blend of heritage, hip-hop, rocker and streetwear style.

Graphic T-shirts reference the Zippin Pippin rollercoaster in the old East End Park, Skateland roller rink and University of Memphis Tigers Basketball. Jeans include Levi’s 501 Slim Taper and the 502 Taper with washes ranging from washed black and white to faded indigo and solid black. The collection also features a range of hoodies and Truckers with sleeves screen printed with leaves.

“An American icon, Justin is the perfect partner for Levi’s, and this collection is a celebration of his hometown of Memphis, the embodiment of American music and authentic self–expression,” said Jennifer Sey, Levi Strauss & Co. chief marketing officer.
