Levi’s and Farm Rio Serve Wanderlust Vibes in New Collection

Fashion is at a crossroads: continue with cutting-edge strategies developed to persevere during Covid or slide back into familiar (yet unprofitable) habits? Get the experts' perspective at our in-person Sourcing Summit, Oct. 19 at New York’s Cipriani 42nd Street.

The great outdoors is a common theme in fashion, but its renewing qualities mean even more to the quarantined consumer finding respite in nature.

A new collaboration between Levi’s and Brazilian brand Farm Rio celebrates this power of nature. The collection brings together Levi’s most popular silhouettes and Farm Rio’s signature prints inspired by the radiant colors and shapes that natural exist in Brazil—and the emotions created by these elements.

The two brands collaborated on 16 pieces, including a relaxed fit jumpsuit with a drawstring waist, Levi’s high-waisted Ribcage jeans, denim skirts and two Trucker jackets. The collection also offers staycation-friendly items like a tiered dress, jean shorts, T-shirts and a printed fleece top.

Each item features exclusive Farm Rio prints of tropical and vibrant Brazilian iconography like toucans, jaguars, tree frogs and parrots developed specifically for this collection.

Levi’s x Farm Rio

This collaboration is “meant to ground us in the beauty of the present, while reminding us of a future worth preserving,” Levi’s stated. In addition to the collection, Levi’s and Farm Rio will also partner with organizations SOS Mata Atlantica and One Tree Planted to plant 14,000 native trees that will help preserve and restore two vital Brazilian forests.

Known for its playful mix of proprietary prints, Farm Rio has become part of the travel influencer “starter pack” for its wanderlust vibes. Founded by Katia Barros and Marcello Bastos in 1997 as a small booth at a marketplace in Rio, Farm Rio has grown into a household name in Brazil, with over 75 stores across the country and now in the U.S., with flagship stores in New York, Miami as well as pop-ups in Los Angeles and Montauk, N.Y.

Levi’s x Farm Rio will be available on farmrio.com, Farm Rio stores, Levi.com, on the Levi’s App and in select Levi’s stores globally on Dec. 1. Retail prices range from $25 for a T-shirt to $168 for the jumpsuit.
