Levi’s feted the holiday shopping season Friday night in New York City with a customization event with Super Bowl champion Victor Cruz.
The event, held at the Levi’s Tailor Shop inside the Nordstrom Men’s Store, allowed shoppers the chance to add NFL-themed patches and a custom knit fabric designed by the NFL star himself, to jeans and Trucker jackets.
Guests enjoyed customization, light bites and photo ops with the former New York Giants wide receiver.
The customization event was just one among the various ways Levi’s is offering denim shoppers opportunities to add bespoke touches to denim gifts.
Along with opening its largest flagship in Times Square with a robust menu of personalization options, Levi’s also set up shop at Kith, one of the city’s booming streetwear retailers. Levi’s recently opened a temporary Levi’s Tailor Shop at Kith’s SoHo store to commemorate the launch of the Kith x Levi’s collaboration.
Over the weekend, Kith founder Ronnie Fieg gave a tour of the pop-up on Instagram Stories and highlighted the customizable options available for customers who scoop a piece of the Kith x Levi’s collaboration.
Customers can add a personal touch to pieces with patches, embroidery, chain-stitching, screen-printing and airbrushing. They can also swap out the classic brown leather back patch for a variety of co-branded pink, purple, blue, red and white alternatives.
The collaboration, which Kith presented during New York Fashion Week in September, launched last week at Kith shops and Kith.com.
The first drop of products includes lasered monogram Trucker jackets and 501 ST jeans, as well as raw and distressed styles. Each piece includes a co-branded leather patch and Kith’s signature belt loop tassel. Items retail for $210-$295.
Children’s monogrammed styles are also available, retailing for $115-$125.
