Levi’s unleashed its latest selling tool—a holiday-themed shoppable video.
The denim company debuted the one minute and 45 second video titled, “The Holiday Getaway” on its website this week, allowing viewers to click on “shop now” buttons to place items in their shopping cart.
Levi’s items like denim carryalls, classic western shirts and Sherpa trucker jackets are on display in the clip that follows a multi-generational family gathering for the holidays. The video complements Levi’s holiday gift guide, which suggests big tickets items like the Levi’s Commuter Trucker Jacket with Jacquard by Google as well as stocking stuffers like enamel pins.
Shoppable video content is on the rise as digital video viewership grows each year. In January eMarketer reported that the share of global internet users who watch digital video will increase to 63.4% in 2020, making video a viable opportunity for brands to connect with consumers.
Pepe Jeans, Matches Fashion and G-Star are among the fashion brands that have already explored the platform. Levi’s dabbled in shoppable videos in 2014 with its “Live in Levi’s” campaign that showcased how denim is worn around the world.
