Levi’s Wins Praise from Chemistry Council

From the pioneering Screened Chemistry program to environmentally friendly programs like the Water

The company received the annual Champions Award from the Green Chemistry & Commerce Council (GC3) for its work in encouraging safer chemical solutions in apparel production.

Levi’s received the award during the annual GC3 Innovators Roundtable, which brings together C-suite executives from industry giants like Dow Chemical and Procter & Gamble and innovative startups to discuss ways large companies can quickly adopt sustainable technology.

Levi’s is an advocate for change across the industry—big and small. In addition to open sourcing its sustainability programs to any company, Levi’s recently granted the inaugural class of LS & Co. Collaboratory more than $350,000 to launch water-saving programs.
