Levi’s Expands Men’s Chino Collection for Fall

Levi’s newly minted chinos collection is getting an update for fall.

The brand proved it can go beyond its heritage denim roots on Monday when it debuted three new men’s pants: the XX Cargo, XX Chino Stay Loose, and XX Chino Stay Loose Crop.

The Levi’s XX Cargo, available in black, khaki, olive and a nature-inspired leafy print, shifts the chino into the streetwear category. With a cargo pocket and a hidden zipper inside the pocket, the style checks both the function and fashion boxes. The Levi’s XX Chino Stay Loose style offers more room throughout the leg and is available in traditional khaki and checkered blue color ways, while the XX Chino Stay Loose Crop offers a more weekend-friendly spin on the fit.

Building upon the Levi’s XX Chino launched earlier this year, the new fits will be featured alongside last season’s standard taper and slim taper styles. Musician and songwriter Khalid stars in both campaigns.

As post-pandemic consumers navigate what their at-home work wardrobe will be in the coming months, it’s these kinds of classic and versatile pieces that experts say they’re most likely to purchase.

“Levi’s is built on authenticity and driven by fit, which is exactly how we built the Levi’s XX Chino collection,” said Janine Chilton-Faust, global vice president of men’s design at Levi’s Strauss & Co. “Perfect for any occasion, any location, any time. Our newest addition, XX Cargo, gives you style, comfort, ease and function. It is a very thoughtful, style-forward cargo that will be able to stand the test of time.”

Additionally, the chinos are a sustainable staple. The Levi’s XX Chino and XX Cargo styles are produced through practices from the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), which promotes the use of water-efficient farming practices.

The retail price range for the new styles is $79.50-$98. The line is available now on the Levi’s website and in select stores.
