Scenes from New York Denim Days

From chain-stitching and customization, to 3-D body scanning and rare vintage gems, denim brands, mills and retailers pulled out all the stops for the first-ever New York Denim Days Festival, Sept. 30-Oct. 1.

The two-day festival located in New York City’s Chelsea nabe introduced consumers to a behind-the-scenes look at the global denim industry with a packed schedule of book signings, demonstrations and one-of-a-kind shopping opportunities.

Day one began with an indoor business-to-consumer event, where stylish attendees customized hats by Candiani, tried on 3×1’s giant pair of jeans and shopped from Carved in Blue, Mavi and Detroit Denim Co.

The final day brought everyone outside, where independent designers like Bit of Denim and Democratic showed their unique collections.
