The denim world is full of avant-garde looks. Few are quite as questionable as Nordstrom’s mud splattered jeans.
Retailing for a whopping $425, shoppers took to social media to voice their outrage over such a product.

The jeans subject to ridicule are Nordstrom’s PRPS Barracuda Straight Leg Jeans, offered with a “caked-on muddy coating,” made to look a pair of jeans after some serious manual labor.

People are outraged by the prospect of those that can afford the pricey dirty jeans as opposed to those who can create the jeans naturally due to their job. Some social media users are making a tongue-in-cheek offer to make people’s jeans dirty as a more affordable alternative to the “dirty” jeans.
