North Face Opens First-Ever ‘Urban Exploration’ Concept Shop

When it’s deliver-or-die, supply chains become the lifeblood of a company. To that end, the fashion industry has embraced technology to navigate today’s hyper-complicated supply chain, with myriad solutions shaping the first, middle and last mile. Call it Sourcing 2.0.

North Face debuted an urban exploration concept shop in San Francisco, Calif. The shop, which soft launched in September, focuses on streetwear.

Open through Spring 2017, the San Francisco shop boasts a conservative storefront and focuses on protective gear for modern city dwellers. The store will regularly debut new products over the coming months, including collaborations and curated pieces from North Face’s Japanese and Hong Kong lines.

North Face also plans to open a New York flagship store on Fifth Avenue later this month, set to feature a similar space and product assortment.

In conjunction with the Urban Exploration concept shop, the brand debuted exclusive US-made, limited-edition bags to help celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary.
