It’s been more than six months since Stefan Larsson stepped down as global president of the Gap Inc.-owned Old Navy and a successor has finally been chosen.
The company announced Wednesday that Sonia Syngal has been tapped to lead the brand’s reinvention, effective immediately.
A 12-year veteran of Gap Inc., the appointment marks Syngal’s return to Old Navy. She served as senior vice president of the brand’s international division until 2013, after which she assumed the role of executive vice president of global supply chain and product operations across all of the company’s brands and channels.
