Paige’s new capsule collection honors the versatility of denim and the women who wear it. With the tag line “women wear the pants around here,” the Los Angeles-based company introduced The Nines, a collection of everyday denim offered in seven fits in several clean and sleek colorways.
The Nine is a nod to Paige’s signature whipstitch, the nine stitched bars that adorn the back pocket of every pair of jeans. This iconic detail, the company stated, represents nine lives and serves as a “reminder to always grow, reinvent yourself and evolve for the better.”
It’s a concept that resonates closely with Paige founder Paige Adams-Geller, who launched her denim brand in 2004 and has grown it into a lifestyle collection sold in stores in more than 80 countries.
“As women, we live nine lives in a day—executive, friend, mother, wife, teacher and so much more. And we all know our work day is not 9-5. It’s more like 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.” she said.
The Nines, she added, is a meaningful collection of elevated, everyday denim that harkens back to this idea of nine lives.
The collection’s seven fits include the Hoxton skinny; the culotte Pleated Clarice; the Cindy, a cropped skinny with slit pockets, the Constance 31, a high-rise skinny with a split ankle; the wide-leg Pleat Leenah; and the Sabine and Genevieve, both high-rise flare jeans.
For the collection, Paige used its signature Transcend denim fabrics that offer a soft hand and stretch and recovery to give it a “flawless fit from morning to moonlight.” Jeans are offered in black and dark indigo washes with empowering names like Boss Black, Wallstreet and Lieutenant.
Subtle trims enhance the The Nines. Each jean features a thin black leather back patch, black enamel rivets and buttons and an interior waistband featuring inspiring messages such as “You’ve Got This,” “Be Yourself” and “Believe in Yourself.”
The collection is available now on the Paige website. Retail prices range from $249-$269.
