Rag & Bone Builds the ‘Ultimate Wardrobe’ with Icons Collection

In its 20th year, New York City-based Rag & Bone is creating the “ultimate wardrobe” of elevated staples for men and women with the Icons collection.

Spanning across women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, denim, and accessories, Icons is a curated edit of quintessential Rag & Bone styles with a refreshed twist. Fall 2022 is the first release of Icons, however it will live on season to season in Rag & Bone stores and on its website.

“Built around expert craftsmanship and authenticity, Icons consists of classic pieces, perfected,” it said.

With denim being a “cornerstone” for Rag & Bone, the focus was on high-rise styles in straight fits and new dark and vintage-inspired washes for women. Ecru jeans and a streamlined Western denim shirt with snap buttons added variety.

Blazers and coats—in twill and leather—are key to the collection’s wardrobe-building promise, while the brand’s Wooster coat and Alfie peacoat offer tailored outerwear options that can be dressed up or down.

Women’s simple tees, mixed media ribbed knits and classic button-down shirts in white and blue stripes effortlessly pair back to the range’s denim and leather offerings. Pull-on and lace-up leather boots finish the looks.

For men, the Icons collection focused on laidback textures and nods to military fashion. Core outerwear pieces like the Café Racer jacket, Manston bomber, Flight shirt jacket and padded Dane jacket have been constructed with premium fabrics like traditional Japanese military nylon, rugged leather, and soft cotton.

The Icons collection is available now at Rag & Bone stores worldwide and the brand’s website. It is also available at Nordstrom, Harrods, Net-a-Porter and Mr. Porter. To support the launch, Rag & Bone bowed a global campaign featuring models Maya Stepper and Mikkel Gregers Jensen across digital channels, in store and as a poster series in New York, Los Angeles and London.

The launch follows the opening of a new gallery-like store in East Hampton, N.Y. and the rollout of the 2022 Photo Project, a photography series centered on “iconic portraiture” that tells the “visual legacy of true originals.”

Timeless designs have been an area of focus for the premium denim-turned-lifestyle brand. In January, Rag & Bone introduced the Future Staples collection of women’s, men’s and unisex clothing and accessories based on ease and functionality. Relaxed fabrics like overdyed and stonewashed organic cotton and ponte, coupled with a seasonless color palette of black, saffron and sage updated basic staples such as crewneck knits, zipper hoodies, bodysuits and tank tops.
