Rag & Bone’s Outerwear Collection Gets Popup Treatment at Saks

Rag & Bone is leaving a trail of denim and outerwear across the New York Metropolitan area.

Following the recent launch of a bodega-inspired popup store in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood and one at Nordstrom’s Manhattan flagship in May, the label has teamed with another New York fashion institution, Saks Fifth Avenue, for an outdoor-themed shopping experience.

Located in the Barneys at Saks department on the fifth floor of Saks Fifth Avenue, the shop offers Rag & Bone’s new outerwear and utilitarian accessories, including hero pieces for the season: the Rudy Nylon Liner and Long Puffer. Made with a soft, lightweight nylon, the versatile pieces are filled with down for added warmth and feature signature Prym snaps and welt pockets.

The space references the military hues and fabric used for Rag & Bone’s outerwear. The popup has an inflatable canopy that frames the wood exterior walls and brushed steel fixtures. A custom screen streaming outdoor landscapes is projected onto the base of the popup, with an adjacent mirrored wall and ceiling giving the effect of “standing in a never-ending forest,” the company described.

An accessories wall with cold weather items like wool scarves, ponchos and beanies runs parallel to the exterior space. A selection of men’s outerwear and wood plinths highlighting the new footwear styles, including the Shiloh Sport Boot, a lug sole pull-on boot in a water-resistant recycled stretch fabric, complete the space.

The popup is open through Oct. 18. Elements of the popup will be recreated at Saks stores in cold-weather hotspots like Massachusetts and Michigan as well.
