Rag & Bone to Use Dance and Film to Launch Fall ’15 Collection

From new denim constructions, weights and washes to the steps global mills are taking to reduce impact, Rivet's SS23 In Season Look Book: Denim & Trims has everything you need to know for a successful denim season.

Rag & Bone will support its Fall 2015 men’s collection with a Hollywood-worthy production. The denim maker will unveil a short film on Feb. 3, which stars ballet legend and actor Mikhail Baryshnikov and up-and-comer dancer Lil Buck wearing key pieces from the men’s fall line.

In terms of presentation, the American denim brand has a history of thinking out of the box. For Spring ’15, Rag & Bone debuted a film featuring Michael Pitt for menswear and Franco-Spanish actress Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey as the face of womenswear. Still images from the film were used for Rag & Bone’s spring print advertising campaign.

Rag & Bone joins a growing list of denim companies tapping into dance to sell its product. Last year, AG Jeans linked up with ballet dancers to promote its Contour 360 Degree collection of stretch jeans for an online video. In April, Diesel debuted the “A-Z of Dance” commercial, which featured dancers chronicling the history of dance in the brand’s stretch jeans.
