Shockoe Atelier Presents Classic, Quality Denim for Spring ’17

Shockoe Atelier, the denim brand handcrafted in Richmond, VA is bringing its namesake neighborhood, Shockoe Bottom, full circle. Shockoe Bottom was once the center for tobacco and cotton traders, and now is home to the denim brand’s manufacturing studio.

The brand stuck to simple, vintage-inspired updates for Spring ’17, including a wide-leg military trouser and an indigo-dyed twill PFD sack jacket with a 12-months-wear effect.

The brand is serious about its denim, and its core is based in three quality fabrics in three fits. Shockoe uses two 12.5 oz. Candiani selvedge denims—one with a tinted weft and the other with stretch—as well as a 14.5 oz. slubby silver cast from Collect Mills in Japan.

The collection also includes a strong jacket assortment with a chore jacket, trucker and field shirt.
