Toronto Blue Jay Jose Bautista is batting up for Canadian denim company Silver Jeans Co. Bautista and the brand teamed up to design a collection of jeans called the Joey Series due in North American stores this fall.
The Joey Series, named after the baseball player’s nickname “Joey Bats,” features men’s classic straight fit and a looser fit in a variety of washes, accented with unique stitching on the watch pocket, an embroidered insignia on the inside waistband label and printing on the pocket bag. The first production will be limited and boasts a collectible, numbered hangtag.
Silver Jeans Co. Michael Silver said, “Jose’s style off the baseball field, along with his exceptional work ethic on the field, made a signature collection a perfect next step in our evolving partnership.”
Last year, the denim brand signed Bautista as its first-ever brand ambassador. Bautista said developing the line was “a fun and unique experience.” He added, “Stepping outside of my normal routine and getting to see some of my personal creativity come to life like this was fantastic. I’m looking forward to more collaborative projects to come.”
