Slideshow: Denim Trends from Bluezone

Good design begins with the right fabric.

From futuristic fits for yoga-inspired designs, to nature-inspired stories enhanced with organic components, mills at Bluezone last week interpreted Spring ’19 trends with their newest fabrications.

Exaggerated silhouettes made with mid-weights and 100 percent cotton fabrications, ultra-lightweight layering pieces and drapey Tencel fabrications for a pajama-like feel were among the diverse concepts.

Overalls, dungarees, work wear elements and functional styling are juxtaposed with high stretch punk looks. Lightweight fabrications, extreme high-waists with fluid shapes and materials create this season’s bohemian looks.

Mills brought the looks to life with fringe, tattoo artwork and railroad stripes. Crochet, lace, ruffles, gathering, eyelets and corduroy add texture. Convertible styles, gathered hems and rope lacing in unexpected areas add an avant-garde look, while dense glitter, gold foil and tickertape ribbon speaks to the fast fashion consumer.

Trims enhance designs. Black embossed leather patches and brushed silver speak to a premium consumer. Athletic-inspired rubberized labels and pops of orange and lime punctuate performance denim, while gem-embellished buttons and iridescent details are fit for the fashion-forward consumer.
