A new collaboration merges Western styling with playful ’70s-inspired silhouettes that resonate with the modern denim fashionista.
Los Angeles-based denim brand Slvrlake and luxury womenswear label Ellery joined forces on “The Future West” limited-edition capsule collection, which features 14 styles and celebrates some of the year’s top trends, including corseting, body-baring cut-outs and voluminous silhouettes.
The Slvrlake x Ellery collection offers a variety of vintage-inspired light, medium and dark washes that evoke a soft Western aesthetic designed for mix-and-matching and double-denim layering. The line features classic Americana elements such as rigid denim shirting and high-waisted flare jeans.
Standout pieces include a denim crop top with corset seaming, wide-leg jeans with exaggerated front yokes, jean dresses with dolman sleeves, and jeans and skirts with snap-up details.
The elevated rancher aesthetic is a natural fit for the young premium denim brand, which, despite having launched in 2018 already has an A-list following of supermodels such as Bella Hadid. The brand’s defining characteristic is its vintage-inspired indigo denim with a unique open weave construction, which it says provides “rich, authentic-looking washes” in a variety of shades.
The collection ranges from $239-$699 and is now available on the Slvrlake and Ellery websites, as well as through luxury retailers like MyTheresa.com, Holt Renfrew and Harrods.
