With smart denim startups like Fitcode and LikeAGlove making waves this year with the promise of helping consumers find the perfect pair of jeans, another company is going one step further and actually making you a perfect pair.
Jeanuine is aiming to break into the custom denim market with its Jean Maker application, which its creators say will allow shoppers to create their own perfect pair of jeans down to the last detail, including design, cut, color and size. All jeans will be made using selvege denim from Kurabo, one of Japan’s oldest mills.
Jeanuine is the brainchild of co-founders Julien Tripet, Sebastian Gilbert, and Michael Villardo, and has been undergoing a test-run in Asia and Europe for the last year, and is now aiming for a U. S. launch with the creation of a new Kickstarter campaign.
So far the campaign has succeeded in raising over $1,800 towards its goal of $15,000. Early adopters will be able to take advantage of super early bird specials.
