Los Angeles-based fashion brand Thomas Wylde launched the brand’s first standalone denim line.
In past seasons, Wylde included one or two denim pieces with ready-to-wear collections, but now the brand is launching an ongoing series of capsule collections. Jene Park, creative director of Thomas Wylde, will collaborate with a new up-and-coming designer for each season. The first collection will be designed together with Marta Goldschmied of denim line Made Gold.
The jeans are made and finished in Los Angeles and consist of 10 styles in indigo, black and white. The jeans options range from boyfriend to skinny to bell-bottoms, and the line also includes jackets and short shorts.
Park said, “I’ve been an admirer of Marta [Goldschmied] for a while. This collaboration seemed inevitable, as two designers with a similar vision, and both based in Los Angeles. It seems natural that we would launch our denim series with such an inspiring young designer.”
The denim collection will be available at designer boutiques internationally in February 2017.
