Todd Shelton Releases Khakis With a Denim Fit

Todd Shelton, an American-made menswear brand, launched a collection of men’s khakis with an updated design meant to mimic the fit of a jean.

Coined ‘The American’ khaki, the collection was developed based on fits from the brand’s denim range. The patterns were tweaked to give the garments the styling of a khaki pant, while excess fabric was removed from the leg and seat of the pants. The pant has a flat front and an overall slim fit.

The line is made with all-cotton fabric from England, and is piece-dyed and garment washed at the company’s home base in New Jersey. The collection is available in light tan, medium grey and navy, and is sold exclusively on Todd Shelton’s website.

As with all Todd Shelton products, the collection is available in a full range of custom fits, and customers are asked to engage in a fit-finding process. Consumers can request a free Fit Kit, which comes with seven fit evaluation pants, four fit evaluation shirts and fabric swatches, to try on at home. Once the consumer identifies their perfect fit, the company will keep their preferences on file.

Founder Todd Shelton said, “Our goal was to modernize the fit of the traditional khaki and, after two years, we found the fit that will work for every man. Our khaki is a signature product for the brand.”

The American collection is the first of three khaki collections by Todd Shelton to launch over the next six months. Future collections will include a selvedge khaki and a lightweight khaki, all with custom fit options.
