Those who missed out on the exclusive Todd Snyder x Legent jacket in October now have a second shot at adding it to their wardrobes.
On Thursday, the men’s wear brand and premium bourbon label re-released their ultra-popular whisky-colored Japanese selvedge denim “Dylan” jacket in honor of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) Heritage Month in May. The jacket sold out within 12 hours of its original release last year.
Featuring Japanese selvedge denim from Okayama and cut and sewn in the U.S., the jacket was crafted with an emphasis on quality, and underscores the brands’ commitment to detail. The brands will donate 50 percent of the jacket’s proceeds to anti-Asian racism organization Stop AAPI Hate.
“For this special edition of my signature Dylan Jacket, we brought together the best in Japanese denim and American craftsmanship, in the same way Legent mixes Japanese blending techniques with American distilling traditions,” said designer Todd Snyder. “As we celebrate the intersection of East and West with this partnership, we also want to take a moment to acknowledge the challenges faced by many in the AAPI community over the past several months and work to put an end to these terrible acts of hatred.”

Stop AAPI Hate documented 6,603 reported incidents of discrimination against the AAPI community from March 19, 2020 to March 31, 2021. During the height of AAPI violence earlier this year, other denim brands pledged their support to the community, with Mother Denim, Levi’s, Frame, and others donating to related organizations.
With Todd Snyder’s affinity for Japanese denim and Legent’s Japanese blending expertise, both brands often incorporate Asian influences into their products. In March, Todd Snyder launched “The New Blues” line, which included U.S.-made denim honoring all of the classic elements of traditional selvedge and featured stretch, selvedge and small-batch denim offerings.
The jacket is available on its own for $398 on the Todd Snyder website and bundled with a bottle of Legent bourbon for $448 on ReserveBar.com for a limited time.
