Tommy Hilfiger and Aries Drop Streetwear and Remade Designs

Tommy Hilfiger is reaching for the stars with its new collection. 

On Wednesday, the PVH-owned brand unveiled its latest collection meant to “empower and creatively subversive play on all things modern prep” in partnership with London-based luxury streetwear brand, Aries. 

The 35-piece Tommy x Aries collection of men’s and women’s fashion and footwear is inspired by Tommy Jeans’ archives and updated through Aries’ lens. Founded by Sofia Prantera, Aries was created out of an “ongoing love” of trash culture, outsider art, graphics and illustration, and is known for its unique elevated streetwear clothing.

Notable pieces in the collection include a two-toned pair of oversized jeans with “Tommy” and “Aries” written on either side of the pant leg, a deconstructed denim bra top connected with chains, and a jacquard tape dress imprinted with the Tommy Hilfiger and Aries’ logos.

Rounding out the collection is an array of accessories, including lime green sandals, a distressed denim bucket hat and more.

Keeping sustainability top of mind, a curated section within the collection is from “Tommy x Aries: Remade,” an assortment of one-of-a-kind items handcrafted by Aries from existing garments taken from post-consumer waste and surplus materials.

Remade items include a corset made from the Tommy Hilfiger flag and upcycled denim, an asymmetrical jersey dress made from three shirts and an assortment of vintage T-shirts and hoodies remade with Tommy Hilfiger flags, graffiti and more.

The collaboration between Tommy Hilfiger and Aries came together after Lee Holman, Tommy Hilfiger’s chief design officer, reached out to Prantera.

“I always loved Sofia’s design aesthetic—from her days designing for Slam City Skates, Silas and now, her own brand Aries,” Holman said. “Her design ethos of clashing design codes together felt very similar to Tommy Hilfiger’s own approach to taking something from culture and clashing it with Tommy’s DNA of street prep.”

In support of the collection, Tommy Hilfiger and Aries tapped “Tomorrow 2” rapper GloRilla, grime artist Novelist and Aries family 5EB, Brian Tshabola, Haajar Djouada, Kasper Kapica, Kirbs, Nathan Rosen and Xiao Wang to star in its campaign.

Accompanying the campaign is a film created by Prantera which features an instrumental version of GloRilla’s 2022 song “Unh Unh” with additional verses by Novelist, Kirbs and 5EB. The instrumental song plays in the background of the film, which showcases “bold visuals” and moments in Tommy Jeans’ hip-hop history.

“Collaborating with Tommy Hilfiger allows us to broaden our reach. The clothes are a hybrid of both brands—It’s like Aries hacking Tommy Hilfiger,” Prantera said. “Working with a brand like Tommy Hilfiger allows us not only to explore new styles but to produce a more extensive creative around the collection and work with amazing music talent like GloRilla.”

The Tommy Hilfiger x Aries collection retails for $55-$325. It’s available now at select Tommy Jeans stores and wholesalers, on Tommy Hilfiger’s website and at the Aries store in London.
