Tommy Hilfiger’s new men’s collection answers the call for travel-friendly styling and sustainability. The American sportswear brand is partnering this fall for a third collaboration with five-time Formula One World Champion and global brand ambassador Lewis Hamilton.
Co-designed by Hamilton, the TommyXLewis collection for Fall ’19 is described as “a clash of all-terrain travel with timeless sartorial looks for the city” with items like branded track suits, embroidered tie-dye hoodies and mixed media bomber jackets offering men a variety of ways to dress up and down.
The sports-meets-luxe line includes a stonewash jean jacket with faux Sherpa-lining and Tommy Hilfiger’s iconic flag and Hamilton’s initials on the back. The line also offers dark wash jeans, a series of flannel button-down shirts, a wool coat and turtleneck sweaters. Footwear, accessories, underwear and socks round-out the collection.
“This season, we wanted to bring in inspiration from traveling the world while still keeping designs sartorial,” Hamilton said in a statement. “From easy styles like the tracksuit to more formal looks like the wool coat, our aim was to capture fashion-on-the-go with a modern twist.”
The TommyXLewis collection allows Tommy Hilfiger to build on its sustainability commitments. The collection boasts organic cotton fabrications, while parkas use Re:Down, a sustainable alternative to virgin down derived from down and feathers extracted from post-consumer goods. In the spring Tommy Hilfiger bowed 100 percent recycled denim featuring dyeing methods that save water and reduce waste.
The TommyXLewis collection launches Sept. 2 at select Tommy Hilfiger stores worldwide, select wholesale partners and at tommy.com.
