Those nostalgic for ’90s streetwear can get their fix with an upcoming collaboration from denim brand Tommy Hilfiger and streetwear label A Bathing Ape.
The Tommy Jeans X AAPE By A Bathing Ape capsule collection features iconic elements from both brands, including Tommy Hilfiger’s trademark red, white and blue color palette and AAPE’s Moon Face logo and camouflage print.
The men’s collection includes hats, polo shirts, T-shirts, jackets, shorts, shoes, boxers and more, and is anchored by denim.
Dark-wash jean shorts feature side slant and carpenter pockets and dual-toned camo print along the yoke. Similarly colored oversized denim jackets feature a sweatshirt hood and a large branded graphic on the back. Washed denim baseball caps complete the look, with branding on both the front and back.
The collection will be available beginning July 11 on the Tommy Hilfiger website in Europe, in AAPE By A Bathing Ape stores in Asia, and Tommy Jeans stores in Shanghai and Tokyo, as well as at select European wholesale partners.
This collection reflects Tommy Hilfiger’s longstanding presence in streetwear and its willingness to revisit archival styles.
Earlier this year, the Spring 2020 “Tommy Now” runway experience at London Fashion Week featured dual-toned windbreakers and matching joggers, neon hoodies, graphic T-shirts, shorts and utility-inspired jumpsuits, complete with accessories like fanny packs and backpacks.
