Vicunha, along with 28 other brands, will showcase textile innovations in active denim at DenimsandJeans Bangladesh trade show Oct. 7-8.
Under the theme, Denim Playground Dhaka, the show will place a special emphasis on active denim, super stretch and super comfort fabrications. The show will dedicate seminars and lectures to the topic, as well as a runway show featuring the latest trends.
Thomas Dislich, Vicunha’s Europe and Asia manager, said the theme offers the Brazil-based mill an ideal venue to showcase its complete range of athletic denim, including its new Moove and Moove Super Stretch denim.
Dislich added, “The borders between denim and leisurewear are growing increasingly blurred. The focus is on maximum comfort and freedom of movement.”
The mill will also use the show as an opportunity to highlight the steps it is taking to a more sustainable future. Dislich said, “Our entire production has now been converted to 100 percent BCI cotton and our commitment to sustainability issues has been an integral part of company culture for more than 10 years. It’s not merely a matter of recycling and saving energy, but also of our exceptionally high standards of social responsibility.”
