Spring is all about unplugging and venturing outside, and Wrangler’s upcoming collections present that sunshine vibe in sartorial form.
Performance apparel and western influences set the tone at Wrangler’s Spring 2020 Showcase Market Week, which featured men’s and women’s collections launching soon. Among those are its newest All Terrain Gear (ATG) by Wrangler line, which fuses rugged durability, high performance and element protection. The collection is available in men’s and youth.
Some standout pieces in the ATG collection include the reinforced utility pant, a performance pant designed with added material along the ankles and knees for more support; a convertible trail jogger, complete with a drawstring closure at the ankle for added versatility; and an eco utility pant made of ultra lightweight material designed with sustainability in mind. Pants in the collection feature technical elements that enhance the outdoor experience: water-repellent finishing, UV protection, gusseted crotch, vented knees and more.
Performance elements were also incorporated into shirts, with features such as a sunglass lens cleaner and back vents stitched into the design.
The women’s collection also harnessed the aesthetic of the outdoors, with western-style denim jackets that blend the brand’s modern and traditional looks. It included denim vests with updated features, such as a cropped waistband and cutoff sleeves with exposed fringe.
The western trend continued with a button-down shirt in an Aztec print and a denim shirt with embroidery at the shoulder, as well as a denim shirt dress that hits at the ankle. Even a sweatshirt included in the collection boasts western influences, with “Long live cowboys” imprinted on the back.
Jeans took on all shapes and colors, with an array of wide leg, trumpet flare and skinny styles in dark and light washes.
