Zara TRF, the retailer’s younger, more experimental line, has released a new collection for women, called, “I Am Denim.” Zara worked in collaboration with ten of the retailer’s salespeople to create unique, customized denim items.

The selected salespeople work at Zara locations in cities around the world, including Moscow, Los Angeles, Arnhem and London. In their personal statements, the young women cite inspiration derived from their locations, including London’s music scene and Los Angeles’ history of creating distressed denim.

The retailer calls the line “a collaborative design project with real people, for real people.”

Items in the collection span shorts, jeans, skirts, overalls and button-down shirts. The items are customized with patches, distressing and handwriting.

Highlights of the collection include a button-front skirt with bleached contrast details, and a tube skirt with patches on the thigh.
