A new partnership is making it easier for the denim industry to see color.
Global color and specialty chemicals company Archroma is joining the Denim Window to expand its influence in the industry. The company announced it will use the creative denim showroom to display its color and effect technologies.
Founded and curated by denim consultant Silvia Rancani, the Denim Window is an Amsterdam-based showroom that’s meant to inspire and educate. In less than two years, the creative space has become a premier destination for industry professionals to cull inspiration and discover innovations in sustainability and design. It brings together mills, suppliers, designers and fashion lovers, and encourages collaboration.
The Denim Window and Archroma worked together on an exhibition celebrating Chinese New Year in January. For this latest partnership, both companies will come together to organize color and effects workshops, in addition to showcasing Archroma’s latest innovations.
“Amsterdam has developed as one of the world’s denim cities with global meet-ups and events, and now the conferences, workshops and permanent showroom of the Denim Window,” said Umberto Devita, Archroma’s business development manager for denim and casual wear. “The Denim Window, Archroma and the other member companies share the same passion for creativity, innovation and denim with a soul, and that makes us a match made in heaven.”
The color and dye effects company is best known as the mastermind behind Denisol Pure Indigo, an aniline-free, non-toxic indigo alternative, and EarthColors, a range of dyes derived from herbal and agricultural waste.
