Denim storytelling is earning recognition outside of the sector.
Carved in Blue, a destination for sustainable denim content founded by Lenzing’s Tencel denim team, was awarded “Best Topic Specific Blog” by the Content Marketing Institute (CMI). Each year, CMI announces its Content Marketing Awards, the largest and longest-running international program of its kind. This year, judges reviewed hundreds of submissions against 80 categories including strategy, automation, research, social media, video, editorial, illustration, design and more.
Carved in Blue launched four years ago as a way to share the stories of Lenzing’s denim clients, and their innovations and collaborations.
“We are thrilled to receive the CMA for Best Topic Specific Blog, and this recognition shows Lenzing’s leadership in marketing activities across various industries,” said Tricia Carey, Lenzing director of global business development. “For more than four years, we have been probing into the inner workings and innovations of the global denim world. Personally, it has been a rewarding project to develop a platform for discussions of the challenges, achievements and opportunities the denim industry faces today. We are grateful for the support of the denim community in sharing their stories, photos and videos with us and the many people behind the programming, writing and graphics of Carved in Blue.”
As a category winner, Carved in Blue is now eligible to earn one of the organization’s top seven awards, including Project of the Year, Agencies of the Year, Content Marketers of the Year and Branded Content Campaigns of the Year. Finalists will be revealed on Sept. 9, and winners will be named during a livestream on Oct. 14 at the Content Marketing World 2020 event.
