As countries loosen travel restrictions and denim companies continue to work on their pandemic recoveries, industry event organizers are loading up the calendar with opportunities to mix, mingle and do business.
Here are the upcoming denim industry events that need to be on your work calendar.
Sept. 18-20: Coterie
Informa Markets Fashion will unveil a new era of Coterie, its New York City-based women’s contemporary trade show, Sept. 18-20 at the Javits Center. The event aims to “bring life to three foundational pillars” focused on community and culture, sustainability, and technology. In addition to being a stage for brands’ Spring/Summer 2023 collections, the event will provide attendees access to educational talks.
Sept. 20-21: Denim Futures
Expert insights and sustainable innovations from brands and manufacturers will be the topics of conversation at The Mills Fabrica’s “Denim Futures” conference and showcase. Taking place Sept. 20-21 virtually and in-person in Hong Kong, the event will kick off with a session about the denim community and culture, followed by panel discussions on sustainable finance, circular designs, fibers and trends. Representatives from Advance Denim, Archroma, FibreTrace, Jeanologia, Tat Fung and more will speak at the event.
Oct. 19-20: Kingpins Amsterdam
The bi-annual denim event returns to SugarCity in Amsterdam on Oct 19-20. A global roster of mills, trims suppliers and other links in the denim supply chain will present their seasonal collections across the former sugar factory’s four floors. Expect to see Spring/Summer 2024 trend presentations as well as plenty of networking opportunities. (Kingpins New York will return in January 2023.)
Oct. 21-22: Amsterdam Denim Days
Amsterdam Denim Days will once again provide independent designers, artisans and vintage curators a space to sell their goods. Scheduled to take place the weekend after Kingpins Amsterdam at De Hallen and Denim City, the B2C festival will be home to a market as well as workshops and talks. Advance Denim, Benzak, Kings of Indigo, Rejean and more have confirmed exhibitors.
Nov. 23-24: Denim Première Vision
Denim Première Vision is back at Superstudio Piú in Milan Nov. 23-24. The trade show, which hops to different European cities, will offer the international denim market a full scope of S/S 2023 fabrics and trims as well as access to garment manufacturers and washhouses. The show is known for its hands-on trend area and discussions that touch on global topics like sustainability and traceability.
