The company welcomed Carlos Arias, a devoted Jeanologia customer for the past 15 years. Arias previously served as the CEO at the WINDS Group, a performance textiles and product manufacturing partner for athletic wear, and before that was president and CEO of WWA Advisors, a consulting firm for supply chain processes in the apparel category.
Throughout his career, it was Jeanologia’s dedication to innovation that motivated his teams to think creatively.
“[Jeanologia] has always inspired me and the enterprises I worked for as it has always pushed us to transform ourselves and look at things differently,” Arias said.
In his new role, Arias will be responsible for the company’s global expansion, and further reducing its use of water and chemicals—specifically with Jeanologia’s mission to completely dehydrate the denim industry.
“We have a plan we call ‘Mission Zero,’ through which we aim to reach a complete dehydration, and dehydration using no water and releasing zero toxic emissions in any single jeans produced in the world,” Arias said. “Our aspiration is reaching this goal in five years.”
Enrique Silla, Jeanologia’s founder, will continue on the managing board.
“As a founder, it was difficult finding the right person for this position as, first, he has to share our same values as we are a value-driven organization,” Silla said. “Secondly, he has to have the managing capabilities for reaching the next level and, thirdly, he needs to have a complete and deep understanding of our customer. We think Carlos Arias has all of these characteristics, as we have been in contact with him for the last 15 years. Plus, he has been involved in activities through the world’s five continents in key positions for important players of the denim and synthetic fiber business.”
