The Denim Window Kicks Off a Social Happy Hour via Instagram

Denim is a uniquely community-driven industry and it’s staying connected during the COVID-19 pandemic through social media.

Amsterdam-based denim innovation showroom The Denim Window is doing its part to keep the conversation (and cocktails) flowing with the launch of The Denim Window Spritz, an Instagram live program every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 p.m. CET (Central Europe Time) intended to bring the global denim sector together. Viewers can watch at @thedenimwindow

“The idea was born to allow all our denim friends [from] our community to stay in touch,” said Silvia Rancani, The Denim Window founder.

With Rancani moderating, the chat is an opportunity for individuals to update colleagues in the industry about the status of their business, new innovations and collections, as well as their day-to-day happenings. The goal is to strengthen personal connection so the global denim industry emerges from the crisis stronger than before.

For Rancani, this is another way her business can “stay close to the denim family and keep them together” as it would normally do. Since launching in 2018, The Denim Window helps connect denim companies to brands and promotes the denim industry through events and showcases.

The Denim Window’s client list currently includes Archroma, Berto, Hub 1922, The Lycra Company, PG Denim and more.

Rancani said she is also working on upgrading The Denim Window website to allow clients to view full collections and concepts from the companies she represents. There, clients will have an opportunity to schedule an appointment for online presentations directly with the companies.
