Even with the latest fashion at their disposal, the allure of vintage (or vintage-looking) jeans is not lost on celebrities. This fall, tastemakers like Dua Lipa, Kate Hudson and Emily Ratajkowski have stepped out in retro denim styles and nostalgic accoutrements to match.
Double denim was a reliable look for bohemian posterchild Kate Hudson. The actress paired low-rise flare jeans with a denim button-down shirt and Western accessories like turquoise jewelry, a scarf and footwear trend-to-watch, platform heels. Paris Jackson gave flare jeans and platform shoes a go. The model paired the dirty-wash jeans with a heap of beaded necklaces for a boho vibe.
Stylist Rachel Zoe took a glamorous approach to ’70s denim with wide-leg, raw-hem denim trousers and a zebra print blazer.
Other celebrities revisited the ’90s for their denim fashion. Emily Ratajkowski pounded the pavement in New York City dressed in mom jeans and a shearling-lined denim jacket. A black turtleneck top and slouchy white boots added an early ’90s vibe. Khloe Kardashian paired a classic 501-looking jean (with a single ripped knee) with stiletto sandals. Jeans with front yoke detailing were the throwback style favored by singer and Pepe Jeans brand ambassador Dua Lipa.
Hailey Bieber continued to sport her signature style—slouchy vintage-wash jeans a midriff-revealing top. The influencer paired the jeans with oversized jean shackets and leather motorcycle jackets. Actress Kristen Stewart also wore slouchy cuffed jeans, cinched with a shoelace belt.
Meanwhile, Bella Hadid took style cues from Princess Diana, pairing a tailored bubble gum pink blazer and blouse with laidback mom jeans and a baseball cap. The model put her own spin on the uptown-meets-downtown look by punctuating her outfit with shin-grazing black combat boots.
Other celebrities like Kerry Washington and Courteney Cox favored jeans that had a lived-in feel. The actresses cuffed their jeans, while others like Shia LaBeouf, Kaia Gerber and Katie Holmes wore ankle cropped jeans.
