Parisians Update the Classic Jean Jacket for Fashion Week Style

Take it from Paris street style stars—there are many ways to wear a jean jacket this spring. Paris Fashion Week goers topped off their ensembles with expressive jean jackets that spanned classic Truckers to inventive hybrid silhouettes.

Jean jackets with tiers of denim ruffles and jackets made from multiple pairs of upcycled jeans were some of the boldest style statements. Other jackets combined denim with traditional check gabardine. Unfinished denim, suede and shearling combined to make a cropped yet cozy coat.

Elongated jackets were embellished with metallic prints and destruction, as well as nipped in waists. Others were cropped at sportier lengths, paired with rugby shirts or layered beneath athletic nylon jackets.

Dark rinse Trucker jackets were winterized with sweatshirts and down-filled nylon layers. Classic Truckers were worn slightly oversized, paired with chic leather leggings, tie-dye graphic tees and turtleneck tops worn under bohemian lace dresses. Jackets were also worn casually, tied around the waist of denim boiler suits.

Traditional workwear items like chore jackets were renewed with bold graphic prints and matching cargo jeans. Other jean jacket and pant sets used seams to create a striped pattern. Lacoste’s light wash denim bomber jacket and jeans was spotted with an all-over logo print.
