Gilt, the online retailer that cut its teeth enticing its members with speedy flash sales, is slowing things down with Gilt by Appointment.
Beginning Sept. 8, the new in-person shopping experience will provide shoppers the help of a personal stylist and allow members to try on apparel, accessories and footwear in Gilt’s swank Park Avenue showroom in New York City. The service will offer shoppers the same discounts as its online arm with the bonus of taking purchases home the same day.
Appointments can be private, shared (with one other guest) or become a shopping party for up to six people. Appointments can booked at Gilt.com.
