Nordstrom Now Lets Customers Shop by Text

When it’s deliver-or-die, supply chains become the lifeblood of a company. To that end, the fashion industry has embraced technology to navigate today’s hyper-complicated supply chain, with myriad solutions shaping the first, middle and last mile. Call it Sourcing 2.0.

Nordstrom has once again raised the omnichannel bar.

A mere month after the Seattle-based luxury retailer started piloting curbside pickup for shoppers too busy to set foot in a store, the company on Tuesday announced yet another way for consumers to shop with minimal interaction: by texting the word “buy” to a salesperson.
