Saks Fifth Avenue on the Prowl for New Designers

Saks Fifth Avenue is scouting new design talent. The luxury department store will host its first-ever emerging designer showcase at its Manhattan flagship on April 5.

Designers focused on women’s ready-to-wear are permitted to email their digital look books to be reviewed by Saks Fifth Avenue’s fashion and buying office. After review, select designers will be invited to a forum at Saks Fifth Avenue New York on April 5 where they will present buyers with a formal showcase of their collection.

Invited designers must bring a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 product samples for review, as well as line sheets with wholesale and retail pricing. Qualified designers must be able to fulfill orders and have production and shipping capabilities in place.

In a statement, Saks Fifth Avenue Chief Merchant Tracy Margolies said, “We work tirelessly to scout collections, searching for the best emerging talent in the fashion industry. I’m passionate about launching this platform and excited to extend this opportunity to all of the unbelievably talented designers on the market.”
