Saks Fifth Avenue announced plans to open a men’s store at Brookfield Place in downtown Manhattan in Spring 2017. The Hudson’s Bay Company-owned store will bring modern men’s fashion and special amenities, including bespoke tailoring and personal shopping programs, to the luxury retail complex.
“Building a free-standing Saks Fifth Avenue Men’s Store at the crossroads of the U.S. Financial Market and New York City’s burgeoning downtown fits perfectly with our vision to expand our leadership position in the luxury space,” said Marc Metrick, Saks Fifth Avenue president. “We look forward to creating a tailored experience for our customers in a dedicated environment, filled with authoritative merchandising assortments.”
In Summer 2016, Hudson’s Bay will open an 85,000-square-foot Saks Fifth Avenue, which will anchor the north end of the Brookfield Place complex. The store will not carry men’s, and will instead focus on women’s categories. The complex will also be home to Saks Fifth Avenue’s U.S. headquarters by August 2016.
