German trade show organizer Munich Fabric Start GmbH, the owner of Munich Fabric Start, Bluezone, Keyhouse, The Source and View, announced Tuesday plans to shift the dates of its summer 2023 editions.
Munich Fabric Start will take place for the first time on its new dates from July 18-20, 2023. The location will remain the MOC Munich. Bluezone, Keyhouse and The Source will take place July 18-19 on the nearby Zenith grounds. The trade shows typically are staged toward the end of August.
View, the company’s premium fabric show, will follow on Sept. 5-6.
“With our rescheduling, we are positioning Munich Fabric Start and Bluezone in the trade show calendar. In terms of timing, the new date is thus perfectly set and integrates seamlessly into the existing events and rhythms,” said Frank Junker, Munch Fabric Start creative director.
The trade show dates for Spring/Summer 2024 collections remain unchanged. Munich Fabric Start will take place Jan. 24-26. Bluezone and Keyhouse will be Jan. 24-25.
“The date modifications and diversifications offer all our exhibitors a wide variety of opportunities to react in a targeted manner to new needs and changes in the market,” said Sebastian Klinder, Munich Fabric Start managing director.
January is becoming a busy show month for the denim industry. Kingpins New York, taking place Jan. 11-12 at Pier 36, was previously held in November or December. Kingpins New York returned to in-person events this year with a show in July.
