Coterie, Informa Markets Fashion’s women’s advance contemporary and contemporary market, is preparing for 2022 with a hybrid approach designed to deliver a greater assortment of products and connection touchpoints for the industry.
Coterie New York will return to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on Feb. 27-March 1, 2022, and again on Sept. 18-20, 2022. The New York shows will feature new brands and top sellers from apparel, footwear, accessories, and beauty categories, as well Edit, which will focus on international collections.
The September event will also include Destination, Coterie’s concept dedicated to swimwear and resort wear. Both events will feature curations of minority-owned companies and sustainable brands displayed throughout the show floor.
Coterie will also have onsite activations and educational programming to focus on sustainable business practices similar to the “Mock Shoppe” presence they had earlier this year.
At the show, Coterie will have a digital platform that is powered by AI and will offer a more personalized and efficient experience. In addition to the in-person shows, the accompanying digital platform will also be available before, during, and, after the February and September show dates, which will further extend “discovery, shopping, and connection opportunities for both brands and buyers.”
“The vision for our community is that both live and digital formats are used in concert with one another, with the benefits of both driving forward an entirely new way to conduct business—growing their business more efficiently and more effectively than ever before,” said Courtney Bradarich, VP of contemporary women’s events for Coterie.
The show will also return to Miami in July 2022 during Swim Week. Destination: Miami by Coterie will focus on vacation-inspired apparel, accessories, and footwear labels spanning contemporary and advanced contemporary price points. Like its first Miami event this year, the show aims to draw an audience of international and domestic retailers, buyers, influencers and media.
“As part of our ongoing efforts to not only positively affect change within our own operations and practices, as an industry connector for the advanced contemporary market, our mission is to create more meaningful dialogue around broader industry topics, such as sustainability, in addition to being a larger business resource to educate, empower, and spark creativity within the communities we serve,” Bradarich added.
Coterie’s sister shows announced its 2022 schedules. Project Las Vegas will return to the Las Vegas Convention Center on Feb. 14-16, 2022 and Aug. 8-10, 2022. Project New York will also return for its twice annual men’s-focused event in January 2022 and July 2022, though exact dates are still undetermined. Informa Markets Fashion, announced plans to introduce a Nashville, Tenn. show. Set to take place on May 16-17, 2022 at the Music City Center, the event will feature an “intimate collection” of women’s and children’s apparel, as well as footwear and accessories brands.
