Munich Fabric Start, Bluezone Plan to Return to In-Person Events This Summer

Munich Fabric Start, the organizer of View Premium Selection, Bluezone and the eponymous main event, is hopeful to return to in-person events as soon as July 2021.

The company announced Wednesday that planning is now underway for events that will showcase Fall/Winter 22-23 collections. View Premium Selection will take place July 13-14; Munich Fabric Start will take place Aug. 31-Sept. 2; and Bluezone, the event dedicated to denim fabric and trims suppliers, is scheduled for Aug. 31-Sept. 1.

The trade shows will take place in and around the MOC Munich exhibition center. The grounds offer exhibitors and attendees a spacious venue and outside areas, generous stand and catering spaces, wide walking paths to maintain minimum distances and nearby accommodations. The center also has efficient ventilation systems circulating a fresh air supply.

Munich Fabric Start managing director Sebastian Klinder said the company’s “ambitious goal” is to present its established premium portfolio again. “With a healthy mix of confidence and realism, we would like to give the industry with these show dates the best possible planning security as well as the hope of a personal reunion soon,” he said.

Munich Fabric Start has hosted one in-person event since the start of the pandemic—Fabric Days in September last year. All of the other shows, however, had to be cancelled due to lockdowns and travel restrictions in and outside of Europe.

To help bridge the gap left by the cancellation of these physical events, Bluezone launched the Bluezone Living Page, an online hub for denim trend inspiration and insights from industry experts.

“In these challenging times, we felt like broadening this approach by offering the industry a new, exciting and vivid platform to share information, get inspired, collect futuristic ideas and stay connected throughout the year,” Klinder said.
