Tuscan textile company Europa is adding its first “smart” stretch denim for Spring ’16.
The ES collection of denim is produced using an innovative process that results in savings of raw materials, energy and the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. The GRA and OEOo-Tex Standard 100 certified fiber is showcased in three different products — a basic, a denim stretch and a denim super stretch.
To complement the ES launch, Europa is presenting its range of denim, bi-stretch, and comfort fabrics with an emphasis on softness and lightness by incorporating different mixes of fabrics like cotton and Tencel, or cotton and Modal. The company is also creating singular weaves with a jersey look that offers an uber-soft hand.
On the fashion end, Europa is adding gold and silver glitter to basic denim for a glossy, silk effect. Jacquard fabrics range from coarse, crisp and grainy designs with chiné effects to abstract, cubist and floral patterns with Lurex threads.
