But now, as restrictions drop and temperatures rise, consumers are choosing to slip into something a little less comfortable. “Hot vax summer,” according to retail analytics firm Edited, is a post-pandemic celebration of freedom defined by sexy silhouettes, bold colors and touchable textures. The trend complements the maximalism movement of extravagant apparel, also birthed from the year much of the world spent inside.
