Monochromatic Sneakers
Take Adidas’ Stan Smith and mix it with a bit of Yeezy and you get Asos’ range of monochromatic sneakers.
Military shades of olive, beige and rust are a nod to the second season of the Kayne West-designed, doomsday-inspired apparel collection. Pink, meanwhile, is a continuation from the retailer’s high summer range. The dusty rose color is offered for both men and women, however women’s styles are spruced up with ribbon laces.
Velvet
Which era of velvet do you prefer: opulent or crushed? Asos taps into the ’90s grunge trend with crushed velvet platform Mary Janes best suited for those who didn’t rock out to Hole in high school. For a more rich look, the retailer offers jewel tone velvet on sophisticated heels with dramatic ankle wraps.
Brocade
The traditionally mature fabrication gets a youthful update in time for the holiday season with modish heels and casual flats. Prints stay in the floral family and are given the golden touch with metallic threads.
Embellishment
The lines between seasons continue to dissipate. Asos’ fall footwear takes a playful approach to embellishment with details typically seen in spring collections, including 3-D floral ornaments and all-over sequins. Simple silhouettes tone down the looks.
Black
After several seasons of brown dominating collections, a trend spurred on by the ongoing ’70s craze, Asos is betting on black to be major for fall. Noir styles span croc embossed lace-up boots and strappy sandals with glam tortoise shell heels to classic men’s dress shoes with a sporty twist of elastic.
