Adidas is expanding its ten-year partnership with designer Stella McCartney with a new line, Adidas StellaSport. The 106-piece apparel, accessories and footwear line is aimed at a younger demographic than the original Adidas by Stella McCartney brand——and with a lower price tag to match.
Creative director Stella McCartney said, “The Adidas StellaSport girl is young, current and vibrant, looking to make a statement and stand out——we wanted to bring that to life within the collection and fuse performance with style to create——performance pop.”
The athleisure line, available Jan. 15, blends performance features, like Adidas’s fast-drying Climalite, with youthful street styles spanning leggings, sweatshirts and one-piece rompers. Footwear styles are accented with open mesh uppers for ventilation and built-in sock liners for comfort. A vibrant color palette with a street art edge permeates throughout the line.
Adidas StellaSport, which will retail for $20 to $100, will be sold at Adidas, TopShop, and Nordstrom stores.
