Aerosoles Names Athletic Footwear Veteran CEO

Aerosoles, the women’s fashion comfort footwear brand, announced Tuesday that industry veteran R. Shawn Neville has been appointed chief executive officer, effective immediately. Neville takes over from interim CEO Caryn Lerner, operating partner of Palladin Consumer Retail Partners, LLC, which acquired Aerosoles in June 2014.

Neville, who comes to Aerosoles following six years at Avery Dennison Corporation, has been brought on to strengthen the company’s go-to-market strategy, as well as its branding, store design, merchandising, produce development and overall expansion strategies.

His previous footwear experience includes four years as senior officer of Stride Rite, and president of its Keds division. Neville spent five years with Footstar, as president and chief executive officer of its athletic division and held the same role with Footaction USA. In the 1990s Neville spend seven years with Reebok International, finishing his tenure as senior vice president and general manager of Reebok North America and president of Reebok France.

“I am very excited to be joining a company and brand with such a strong heritage, innovative proprietary technologies, and commitment to delivering fun stylish products to its consumers,” Neville said in a press release. He added, “The brand has tremendous potential to become a powerful lifestyle brand rooted in helping women look and feel great.”
