Canadian boot brand Cougar is entering familiar territory for Fall ’17.
The waterproof footwear brand is revisiting its iconic past by bringing back the Pillow Boot, a quintessential Canadian design that dates back to 1976. During the boot’s heyday, Cougar sold more than 8 million pairs and became a fashion statement for Canadian teenagers who wore it with its red fleece-lined tongue down.
The new Pillow Boot is produced in the same waterproof tan leather of the original, as well as in brown, red, navy and a stand-out all black number.
To complement the Pillow, Cougar is also launching the Caribou Collection, a mid-height lace-up boot from its 1970 archive. The boot is made in soft deertan leather with embossed maple leaf detail and gum rubber soles.
