Emu Australia Adds Tween Sizes for Fall ’17

Join Sourcing Journal on March 13th HKT for Sourcing Summit Hong Kong for discussions on mending relationships between supply chain partners, remaking factories for smaller MOQs and faster turns, and creating resilience to survive the next inevitable crisis.

Emu Australia is experiencing a growth spurt.

The cozy brand is expanding some of its key styles to fit tweens up to size 6.

In previous seasons, Emu Australia stopped its kids’ range at size 4. However, East Coast Regional Manager Alex Michelman said retailers have requested larger styles to fill the gap in the children’s market for fashionable cold weather footwear with waterproof qualities.

To suit the taste of persnickety tweens, the brand culled inspiration from its women’s line, sizing down popular silhouettes. The tween line includes a mixed media hiker lined with merino wool, a zip-up boot with buckle detail and durable Chelsea boots, each offered in black and brown colorways. The line also includes Emu Australia’s core sheepskin boots.

For younger children, Emu Australia has added new creatures to its popular animal-themed collection of boots, including a pink piglet and unicorn.
